Warnings and ad marking
How to enable warnings (medical, financial and others) and enter ad marking details. Why you make these decisions and how the service records them.
In some niches, videos and articles must carry warnings, and advertising must be labelled. The service gives you tools to do this neatly and consistently, but the decision and the wording are always yours. This lesson explains the tools. It is not legal advice: requirements depend on your niche, format and platform, and when in doubt you should consult a lawyer.
The core principle
- By default a project has no enabled warnings.
- The service may suggest template text — only as a hint for the input field.
- A warning appears in materials only after you enable it and confirm that you understand your responsibility for its content.
- Every enable, disable and text change is logged with the date, the user and the exact text.
The account owner is responsible for whether warnings and ad labels are present, what they say and how they look — this is set out in the Terms of Use.
Step 1. Add a warning
Open “Project settings → Warnings” and click “Add warning”.
- Title — for you: “Medical”, “Financial”.
- Text — write it yourself or pick a suggestion and edit it.
- Placement:
- at the start or end of the video;
- throughout the video (a line at the bottom of the frame);
- in the post description;
- at the top or bottom of an article.
- Minimum display time — how many seconds the text stays on screen.
- Applies to — videos, articles or both.
Step 2. Enable and confirm
Switch on “Enabled” and tick “I understand that I am responsible for the content and necessity of this warning”. Until the box is ticked, the warning is not applied.
Once enabled, the warning is added to all new renders and posts in the project. Finished videos don’t change — use “Redo” for them.
Per-video exceptions
The video card has “Custom warnings”, where you can turn off a project warning for one video or set a different one. This is logged too.
Ad marking
If a video is an advertisement, open “Ad marking” on its card and fill in:
- Ad identifier (ERID in Russia) — obtained from an advertising data operator or ad platform;
- Advertiser — name and, if needed, tax ID;
- Label text — for example, “Advertisement. Romashka LLC, tax ID …”.
The service passes this data into the video and post description exactly as you entered it. We do not check whether marking is required, whether the identifier is correct or whether ad reporting requirements are met — that is the responsibility of the advertiser and distributor.
Labelling generated content
This is a separate setting: the “Contains generated content” flag on the video card. It is passed to platforms that support such a label. We recommend enabling it for avatar videos and videos with generated footage.
Practical tips
- Keep it short and readable. A warning must be legible on a phone: large font, good contrast, enough time on screen.
- Test on a real video. Render a test clip and watch it on a phone.
- Don’t rely on the template. A suggestion is a generic wording; your niche, service and format may need different text.
- Check wording with a lawyer for medical, financial and legal services, supplements, alcohol and other regulated categories.
The log
The change history is available in the warnings section: who enabled or disabled what text and when. The log is kept even after a warning is deleted.
